This Wednesday the Church celebrates Ash Wednesday and the beginning of the forty days of Lent as we prepare for the solemnity of the Resurrection of Our Lord at Easter.

As we have done throughout the time of this pandemic we have sought ways to make Holy Mass  available to as many people as possible. This Ash Wednesday, there will be four times available for Holy
Mass and the distribution of ashes, as well as three additional times for our three parish schools.

In consideration of the pandemic and the Church’s concern for the health of each person, the Vatican has decreed that the imposition of ashes will be done by sprinkling them on the top of the head rather than on the forehead as a way to limit contact between people. Although it is a change from what we are used to, it is the ancient way in which ashes were imposed on the faithful.

The Mass times for Ash Wednesday will be:
Holy Trinity Church, 8:00 a.m.
Holy Family Church, 9:30 a.m.
Holy Family Church, 6:00 p.m.
Holy Trinity Church, 7:30 p.m.

Please note that the usual morning times for Mass have been changed for this day only so as to allow for additional Masses to be offered.
